"Caitlin is the editor at Accessible Artistry. She also works as a photographer, videographer, social media manager, occasional illustrator and all-round creative.

 

Raised surrounded by more cows than people in Devon and with family dotted around the globe, though mostly across Africa, she feels culturally confused and very glad about it. As a child she thought “artist” and “writer” meant “painter” and “author” respectively (and these people were all straight, white able-bodied men) but has since discovered that she can be herself and use whatever skills she has to tell stories.

 

Through her work as an TEFL teacher in Italy and UK she found a place for her enthusiasm for language, developed further by her time in Tanzania working for a tourism company. She obsesses (and occasionally writes) about issues of accessibility, representation and effective communication. Aside from her work at Accessible Artistry she has written and photographed for local publications such as the Hartland Times and the North Devon Gazette including a monthly column on the local Air Cadet squadrons."
